This Circular provides information regarding aircraft registration marking and guidance material designed to assist the applicant in complying with the specified Guernsey Aviation Requirements.

This Circular provides information and guidance regarding the application for approval of a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) by the Director. The guidance in this Circular pertains to Option 2 approval applications for a CAMO in accordance with GAR Part 39 Subpart H; A standalone approval by the Director undertaking a full assessment of the CAMO to the requirements of GAR Part 39.

This Circular provides information and guidance regarding the application for approval of an Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) by the Director. The guidance in this Circular pertains to Option 2 approval applications for an AMO in accordance with GAR Part 145 Subpart D; A standalone approval by the Director undertaking a full assessment of the AMO to the requirements of GAR Part 145.

This GAC introduces an option for owner(s) of privately owned and operated single piston engine aeroplanes <2700 Kg to have their CofA renewal performed biennially (every other year) by Remote Survey, thus varying the Director of Civil Aviation's (DCA) normal requirement for an annual onsite survey. Note: The initial C of A required when entering the Guernsey aircraft registry 2-REG, must always be performed on site by a Designated 2-REG Inspector.

GAR 36 - The requirements of this Part cover the certification standards relevant to the granting of Noise and Emission certificates for aircraft registered and operated in Guernsey. 

GAR 39 - This Part details requirements governing aircraft registered in Guernsey and issued with an airworthiness certificate under Part 21 Subpart E and any aeronautical product associated with those aircraft. The requirements of this GAR Part cover continuing airworthiness management and the grant and renewal of continuing airworthiness inspection programmes.

GAR 119 - This Part is applicable to any air transport undertaking, and any operator in the service of the police authority, required to hold an Air Operator Certificate ("AOC") under the Air Navigation (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2012, as amended, ("the Law") and must be read in conjunction with The Air Navigation (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Air Operators' Certificates) Regulations, 2016, as amended, ("the Regulations") and other Parts, in particular Part 91 and Part 121 or 135 according to the type of aircraft operated as described in paragraph 119.103.

This GAC provides guidance regarding the requirements for Nominated Postholders under GAR Parts 39, 119, 121, 135, and 145.

Except for those Exemptions detailed in Section 2 below, the DCA proposes to revoke all past Aviation General Exemptions issued under the Air Navigation (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2012 and the Aviation (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2008 with effect from 1 July 2025.
